The main purpose of the conference is to celebrate and commemorate the 100^th anniversary of the birth of Juliusz Schauder (*1899 - +1942). The symposium will address the following subjects:

• Homotopy Invariants and Applications
• Metric Fixed Point Theory
• Variational Methods
• Ordinary and Partial Differential Equations
• Differential Inclusions and Optimal Control
• Applications

The academic program will start on Monday, September 13, 1999, and finish on Friday, September 17. Each day there will be 40-minute plenary talks. During every session we plan to have 30 minutes plenary session talks and 15-minute short communications.

Conference fee is $40 (or 160 PLN). This will cover welcome party, coffee breaks and conference materials. The participants are kindly asked to transfer their fees to the following bank account :

Accommodation in a student's hotel (including breakfast and lunch, 13 - 17. 09. 1999) is $130 (or 520 PLN).

Accommodation in a high standard downtown hotel is also available, where the prices are:

$65 for a single room per day (including breakfast)

$80 for a double room per day (including breakfast for both visitors)
